Our goal is to help our students gain confidence so that they can perform fearlessly, on stage or with clients. A Spotlight on Performing Arts

Storytelling Through Songs
Singer and songwriter Jay Smith ’17 credits our music faculty in the development of his own artistry, musical storytelling and composition of compelling songs that truly speak to his experiences.
Music’s Impact On The Brain
Music Therapy major Sadie McClure ’18 partnered with her professor and the Charlotte Symphony to lead a research study examining the effects of music in patients with Alzheimer’s and dementia.
The Home Of Actor’s Theatre
Actor’s Theatre of Charlotte, which presents bold, inventive new works, is in-residence at Queens. This partnership creates opportunities for our students to work side-by-side with professional artists.
